It’s OK, admit it…you like your bubbly a tad bit sweet…

One of the reasons Prosecco is kicking Champagnes ass in the market lately is that its inviting fruit is both more inviting to a lot of people AND is great with the sort of Asian / Mexican / Jamaican / Scandinavian fusion food we love in SoCal. We are always on the lookout for a good Demi Sec Champagne as a step up choice and found a doozy this week:

Lelarge-Pugeot Demi-Sec Tradition Premier Cru à Vrigny  $42.00

This is not some inferior cuvée with its flaws masked by sugar, it is the exact SAME wine as this high quality grower / producer’s rich and toasty Brut Tradition (in stock, same price), just bottled with a richer dosage which enhances its biscuity notes. A no brainer for brunch, Dim Sum, sunset on the deck…improvise.
